![]() Record Decks to Traktor intercept cable and then to DJM-800 Phono inputs 3 and 4 as well as line inputs 3 and 4 (ie the normal timecode + vinyl setup for a DJM which is output pairs 1+2, 3+4 from the Audio 8 DJ) So hardware stuff is connected as follows (Im going to assume you know how to connect traktor scratch for timecode control and that you are able to think you way though all this - if you cant make sens eof it - either dont do it, or take the time to figure it out - really!) The routing isnt trivial however and you do have to take care not to accidently switch everything into a horrible feedback loop. Use Ableton Live automation clips to control music-synced DMX lighting via Max4Live and an Entec USBDMXPro. Drive a audio -> video visualizer application that drives a dedicated video projector. Record the result of all of this back into ableton Live if I so wished. Use ableton live as a perfectly synced FX device for *anything* going through the DJM-800. Control the tempo/beat match of anything playing in traktor or ableton live via timecode vinyl (I currently only have traktor steup of timecode vinyl, no timecode CD, but it could be either). The obvious play and mix any combination of ableton live, normal vinyl normal CDs, mp3s in traktor - with all the mixing done entirely on the DJM-800. With this rig I can do variations of the following: ![]() I currently have Ableton live, traktor scratch, a DJM-800 and a pair of tech12 decks, a pair of CDJs, NI audio 8dj, NI X1 and an APC40 on a PC with windows 7. Hmm - shame that thread is closed because there are some wrong things in it. ![]()
